Mitigation of negative effects caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

As a result of these actions, a project was implemented in 2021 in cooperation with the State Fund for Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities – Mitigating negative effects caused by the coronavirus pandemic, in which we provided an additional 500 hours of psychological support. Our activities in this area were a response to the basic needs of the community of people with disabilities and their families. Providing free psychological counseling was especially important for individuals whose disabilities significantly hinder communication with their environment. By adapting the offer to the diverse needs of people with disabilities, the task had a greater significance in increasing the activity of the environment of all groups of people with disabilities and their families. In the project, we met these needs. The majority of individuals to whom we directed the offer are in a poor economic and life situation, often belonging to at-risk groups threatened with social exclusion, therefore the opportunity to access competent, comprehensive, and free psychological help and support was particularly important for them.
